Ofsted

Our recent Ofsted inspection, has recognised the many strengths of our school and affirmed the high quality of education, care and opportunities we provide for all of our children.

The report reflects the dedication, professionalism and passion of our team, who work tirelessly each day to ensure every child feels safe, valued and enabled to ‘Learn, Explore, Achieve’. Inspectors recognised the pride we have in our ‘small but mighty’ school where every pupil is nurtured and valued. A school where staff are proud to work and pupils feel they belong and are cherished by their school family. This is something we value deeply and is a testament to the partnership we share with you as families.

We are especially proud that the report highlights:

  • The ambitious, broad and balanced curriculum built by the team who know pupils needs well and thoughtfully planned transitions resulting in pupils performing above national averages
  • Pupils’ excellent behaviour, attitudes and enthusiasm for learning,
  • Attendance that is well above the national average because pupils enjoy coming to school
  • The ambitious Early Years where children develop a love of reading and stories which is richly resourced and built on warm caring relationships
  • The extensive programme of personal development and well-being which prepares pupils well for life beyond school
  • Leaders that have established a clear ethos where children are firmly at the heart of everything they do and are well placed to enhance this very special learning community

While we celebrate this positive outcome, we remain committed to ongoing improvement. The report provides us with helpful feedback which we will use to build even further on our successes and continue striving for the very best for every child.

Thank you to our staff, governors, children, families and the local community. Your support, encouragement and trust play a vital role in making our school the special place it is. Thank you for being such an important part of our school community in moving the school forward.
